Rev 1:8

The Alpha and Omega , Beginning and the End. 

Alpha is the first letter of Hebrew alphabets, Omega is the Last Letter of Greek alphabets. The bible starts in Hebrew Old Testament and finishes in Greek which is new Testament. HE also claims himself as “The  Beginning and the End“, Which nobody ever made a statement such as this.  A  challenging and yet very promising statement.

Let’s Dwell in this topic for a short while. Allow me to explain certain events in the bible which exactly correlates with the person whom we are talking here about.

The first thing, that comes to our mind, when we read The Alpha and Omega , Beginning and the End? . He is Faithful? He is trustworthy?  yes, He is Faithful, Trustworthy and most of all HE is control. What I mean about control is, He does not control People and their choices, rather if we surrender our choices and take up his will HE will be the Alpha and the Omega of the work which we are doing to finish the will of God.

If you have not surrendered your will and you want to fulfill your choices and will in life then  HE is not Alpha and HE is not Omega  in the work you do. If HE is not beginning of the work you do then HE is not the End too.

God is not committed to complete anything he has not began. HE is committed and faithful to complete what  he has began .

Let’s Look into the person Abraham :

HE( The Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and The End) started with Abraham with the promise to give a land  for his off springs and promised other earthly blessings.

If you read the Bible, Abraham did not live to the land which Israelite inherited. Shortly after Abraham died. You can see the everlasting God, Speaks to Issac and promises the same which HE spoke with Abraham.

After Issac, HE spoke with Jacob as well. After all the Hebrews had been slaves in Egypt. There was a silence from God for several Years. Hold On, HE did not forget the promise HE made. Being a Everlasting and Sovereign God , HE could have done anything HE wanted and could have chosen not to help Israelite. But As Righteous God, HE appeared before Moses and Introduced HIMSELF as the GOD of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.

HE never let down the promise given to Abraham. Even unto Moses and after Moses.

HE was faithful and committed to full fill  things with Joshua and gave the Israel which HE promised to Abraham.

Days may go, Months may go , Years may go, even generations may go. But the Alpha and Omega God is Faithful

Even today for us HE is faithful,

The God Jehovah , He who started our life , is faithful to make us finish in him. He is our God. He is The Alpha and The omega , He is the beginning and the end. We should not be fearful because HE IS FAITHFUL…

1 Cor 1:8,9

He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

As the  verse says

HE is faithful keep us blameless and keep you firm till the end

All we need to do is believe in his righteousness and faithfulness. If we believe HE will give us peace. So  Be in Peace .. It is not an worldly Peace , HE has given The peace of Jesus Christ . It is the Peace which Jesus had when HE walked in this earth. When God walked the earth in Peace and HE gave us HIS Peace. what makes us to be so fearful of a worldly troubles and needs. We don’t need to worry about anything .

Do not be alarmed about Anything. Do not be fearful of anything. When the peace of the God who created the earth in the beginning, rests in us. Why should you fear? For what should we fear? We need to fear ONLY GOD!

Personally, I have searched the peace in whole list of worldly places  and yet I did not find peace anywhere and finally, In HIM, I found the peace. In HIS peace we shall live. Finally in HIS peace we will enter his Glory .

Let’s go back even before Abraham and look into this event.

He started with Adam, But Adam chose the tree of good and evil. And so he lost the right of the Tree of Life.

Gen 3:22-23

And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken

 

God took away the tree of life from Man. But HE is the beginning and the End. HE is faithful to complete.

Finally God says, Rev22: 12-14

“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life   and may go through the gates into the city.

As the verse says…

The day will come when we enter his gates and into the city and eat the tree of life.

Because GOD is FAITHFUL.. HE is the ALPHA and the OMEGA, the Beginning and the End. Amen!
